Advisory Board

Dr. Manoj K. M. Chaturvedi

Dr. Manoj K. M. Chaturvedi, a Chartered Environmentalist, has been leading a strong multi disciplinary team at Environmental and Sustainability Division of Qatar Design Consortium at Doha (Qatar). He has been associated with and have contributed effectively in the areas of construction environment and sustainability management of key infrastructure and industry projects in Qatar including Hamad Port Project, FIFA 2022 Stadium at Wakrah, Ras Abu Aboud, Khalifa and Al Bayt to name a few. He has also given consultation to Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Gas on EIAs and other specialist tudies.

In his past assignments, he lead the respective organizations in various capacities including as Deputy General ManagerCSR-UN Water Mandate at Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. (HCC), Mumbai and as Field Service Manager at GE (Power and Water) etc. He has honour of being one among 20 experts from across the world on the subject of Water and Environment Management at European Commission (EC) Belgium. On his individual capacity, he has been serving EC (since April 2018).

With a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Environmental Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay (IITB), Dr. Chaturvedi is a Core Environment and Sustainability Specialist with more than 20 years of hands on experience. He has managed several projects funded by International Agencies including European Union, the World Bank, and SIDA as well as State and Central Government Agencies of India. He has also assisted Ministries of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoUHA) and Environment Forests & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Govt of India, in execution of JNNURM projects in city of Nashik on behalf of GIZ as environmental consultant.

He has been member of several professional bodies including International Organization for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (IOBB), Australia; Institute of Environment Management and Assessment, UK and Eco-Ethics International Union, Germany; Working group for development of India Water Tool, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD); Water Action Hub (WAH) and Collective Engagement Working Group (CEWG), Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG) of United Nations’ The CEO Water Mandate.

Dr. Jaya Nayar

Dr Jaya Nair is the principal consultant of RAUM International Pty Ltd. an Australian based environmental consultancy company (www.raumint.com.au). Her expertise is on the application of small scale technologies for integrated use of resources such as water, waste and natural resources for food production, enhancing biodiversity and creating sustainable communities. Dr Nair has worked in the areas of remote areas development and as Director of Environmental Technology Centre, Murdoch University. Dr Nair has over 29 years of experience in the field of teaching, research and development and project consultation in Australia and overseas. She has two patents in the field of waste management and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Murdoch University, Perth.

Dr Swapan Chandra Deb

Dr Swapan Chandra Deb is currently, Director (R & D) Amplicon Advanced Diagnostics and Research Center, former Senior Associate Professor, SIES-Environment Management (2000 2004), Research Associate (1993-95) at National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Post doctoral Fellow (1996-97) at National Institute of Environmental Studies, Japan; Visiting Scientist (1997-1998) at Harvard School of Public Health (USA) and post doctoral researcher (1998-2000) at the Hiroshima University (Japan). Dr. Deb has 27 years experience in teaching and research in the domains of Molecular Toxicology, Laboratory Operation, Ecotoxicology, Toxicology, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, and Bio-Technology.

He is a member of American Society of Ecotoxicology (USA), American Society of Molecular Toxicology, SETAC (USA), Japan Society of Limnology (Japan), Ecological Society of Toxicology (Japan), Academy of Environmental Biology (India), Indian Public Health Association (IPHA), India.

Dr. Somnath Narayan

Dr. Narayan is a Civil and Environmental Engineer. Previously, he was professionally associated with West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) as senior management level official (Chief Engineer Grade). Dr. Narayan holds a doctorate degree in Environmental Engineering from Jadavpur University and a Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health, University of Calcutta. Dr. Narayan also did a post graduate course in EIA & Audit from University of Bradford, U. K. with scholarship awarded by British Council Division.
Dr. Narayan served WBPCB for 35 years. During his tenure in WBPCB, he was heading implementation of environmental control policy & law in respect of water and air pollution across about 1000 seriously polluting industries spread over 8 districts in West Bengal State. His core functional competence area is design, engineering & stabilization of water and waste water treatment/ industrial effluent treatment, industrial air pollution cotrol, Environmental Clearance/ Compliance.

Mr. Manikya K. M. Chaturvedi

Mr. Manikya K. M. Chaturvedi has an entrepreneurial mindset who has been involved in the betterment of people through the medium of business locally in State of Uttar Pradesh for a long time. He feels the need to be grounded to roots to nurture the people working together. Besides being a strategic thinker, he has commendable acumen of conceiving community development program with public participation.

Ms. Shweta Upadhyay

Ms. Shweta Upadhyay, a certified NLP coach, an educational learning partners with International Institute of Teachers training program, Director Kids Krishna Public School Utai Bhilai and founder of Zruta educom, spent more than a decade in education industry. After completing her postgraduate degree in Environment Management from Vikram University, Ujjain, India in year 2000, she continued to work in the field of education in India and abroad.

After spending a few years in nternational Indian School, AL Jubail KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) her quest for learning about children took a U-turn, she began to scribble her experiences. Expressing children’s novelties made her a storyteller. She began to connect effortlessly with kids and children of all age groups and to venture into their world through their lucid yet pristine imagination. She had been rendering her services in education since 2006, her empathetic qualities connect her well with people in general and kids in particular. She has authored a well-received book entitled “Petals of Childhood: Smiling Gems”.

She is strategic thinker, well equipped trainer and has passion in implementing UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) implementation at grass root level. She directs our program on SDG and other skill building program on environment and sustainability.

Dr. Bharat Bhusan Nagar

Dr Bharat B Nagar is a leading Environment expert, with core expertise in Waste management (MSW, Plastic, C&D, Hazardous &biomedical); driving Sustainability initiatives through Water & Waste; planning climate challenges mitigation and adaptive approach for Municipal and Industrial eco-systems. He is a PhD in Energy & Environment with dual master’s degree and has acquired expertise in Sustainable finance from Germany.

He is a Certified International waste manager from International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) (www.iswa.org) and Certified Waste Management Professional from NREP, USA (www.nrep.org). He is also a lead auditor for Integrated Management system and mentors sustainability audits including Carbon & Water Footprint.

Has more than 20 years of experience in National & International markets. He has worked for International agencies, Corporate industrial Houses and more than 9 State Govt. under present AMRUT, SBM-Urban , SMART cities.

Mr. Eshan M G

Mr. Eshan Mahadikar is an Environmental Specialist with more than 8 years of working experience in the field of environment (i.e. construction, marine, amusement parks). He has acquired bachelors in Environment Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum, Karnataka, India. With professional experience in EIAs (infrastructures), environmental management plans, marine management plan, ecology survey report, monitoring of air, noise, ground water & marine, Health and safety plans and design of water and waste water treatment plant, RO plant design. He managed prestigious projects of FIFA World Cup 2022 and world’s biggest amusement park in Qetaifan Island in Qatar. He is an ISO 14001:2015 EMS Lead Auditor. His area of work also includes implementation and updating of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018; obtaining environment permits from pollution control board/ Ministry of environment; preparation of environment closeout reports for the projects in Qatar and review of Environment, Health and Safety documents and reports.

Ms. Shweta Harankhedkar

Ms. Shweta Harankhedkar is an environmental consultant with over 8 years of multi-disciplinary work in industrial hygiene, laboratory analysis, plant biotechnology, taxonomy, and environmental education in India and the United States. Shweta has received two Masters Degrees: MS in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University (2012) and in M.Sc. in Botany from the University of Mumbai (2007).

With professional experience in on-site sampling and laboratory assessments, she provides services with a customized approach to a diverse range of clients in various institutional settings. Her areas of work include- regulatory risk analysis, industrial hygiene surveys, occupational exposure assessment, health and safety plans, infection controls, asbestos abatement, reviewing health and safety documents and reports.
