CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive)

Reporting & Disclosure
The EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive replaces the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) and dramatically expands mandatory sustainability reporting. It applies to ~50,000 companies including large EU companies, listed SMEs, and non-EU companies with >€150M EU revenue. Reports must follow European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), be digitally tagged in XBRL, and receive limited assurance. Phase-in: large companies from FY 2024, listed SMEs from FY 2026, non-EU companies from FY 2028.
