Carbon Footprint
Carbon & ClimateA carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) generated by an individual, organisation, event, or product, expressed in carbon dioxide equivalents (CO₂e). It typically covers direct emissions (Scope 1), purchased energy emissions (Scope 2), and value chain emissions (Scope 3). Measuring a carbon footprint is the first step toward reduction and is required under frameworks like the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, BRSR, and CSRD.
