Scope 1 Emissions
Carbon & ClimateScope 1 emissions are direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources owned or controlled by an organisation. These include emissions from on-site fuel combustion (boilers, furnaces, vehicles), fugitive emissions from refrigerants and industrial processes, and emissions from company-owned or leased transport. Scope 1 is the most straightforward category to measure and is reported under all major frameworks including GHG Protocol, BRSR, CSRD, and SEC climate rules.
