SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative)
Carbon & ClimateThe Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a partnership between CDP, UNGC, WRI, and WWF that defines best practice for science-based emissions reduction targets. SBTi provides methods for companies to set targets aligned with 1.5°C or well-below 2°C pathways. The SBTi Net-Zero Standard requires companies to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by at least 90% before neutralising residual emissions. Over 4,000 companies have committed to SBTi targets globally.
