Scope 3 Screening
Carbon & ClimateScope 3 screening is the process of identifying which of the 15 Scope 3 categories are relevant and material for an organisation. The GHG Protocol requires companies to quantify all relevant Scope 3 categories and provides screening criteria based on size (magnitude of emissions), influence (ability to reduce), risk (financial, regulatory, reputational), stakeholder concern, and outsourcing. Screening helps prioritise data collection and supplier engagement efforts on the most material categories.
